Amplify Your Attitude
I bet you have heard many times that when it comes to dealing with circumstances in life it is based on our attitudes. I could not agree more. We have faced many difficulties and we’re still here, so somehow we managed by the grace of God. The Bible even talks about our little attitudes. How we should handle situations and go about overcoming obstacles. Christ explained the beatitudes in the book of Matthew Chapter 5, Proverbs 20: 11-21, Proverbs 17:22 , Philippians 2:3-4 and more. Attitude is deep y’all!
Now let’s take one of those verses and put it to use for our own attitude and to help others. Proverbs 17:22 states, A joyful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit dries up the bones. Indeed it does. Have you ever been around someone who is just so caught up in themselves and complain about everything that is wrong with them and their lives? It’s absolutely draining. Before you know it, you can be pulled down the gutter right with them. They can cause you to stumble and that can lead to your attitude declining. The sad part is that these people aren’t motivated to change and find any excuse to hold onto their troubles. Sounds to me an attitude adjustment is well deserved.
I’m a laid back individual and pretty happy most the time, unless I’m hungry. Sorry! Seriously, I love life and helping others, even the complainers. I’ve been asked on many occasions how I keep positive and happy. I tell you it is not I, it’s our Heavenly Father. I know I’ve been down the barrel more than I can count, add in some stupid mistakes, many close calls with death and danger, and dealt with my share of grief and drama like any one else. I should be resentful, unhappy, and down right depressed. But I wasn’t raised, for one, to be that way, and two, I have been all those things and I didn’t like who I was. I have had to adjust my attitude many times.
I do not know you and have no idea what you may currently being struggling with, but I do know that taking a step back, really focusing on what is causing you an issue and asking for help is a good first step. Prayer changes things, too, and I encourage you to do just that. I also encourage you to find knowledge and peace within God and let the rest be. You are a light to others so shine bright.
My best to you and your journey!
