Just Be You!
We live in a time that the term, “just be you”, can mean a lot of diverse things. There is nothing wrong with being you, but who are you? Maybe you need to think about that for a minute. OK, let me help you. I want you to ask yourself what makes you you in the sense of your character, personality, ethics and morals. You may find it hard to think of yourself that way or maybe you truly don’t know what all you’re made of. I bet if you really think about where you have journeyed in your life you will see a pattern of choices you made, how you overcame them, and who you are today because of those experiences. We cannot forget all the good things that came from it as well. Are you taking notes yet?
Since I have your attention, I’m sure you have found out you’re a good person. Great! Did you see that you’re able to succeed no matter what the Enemy throws at you? I wonder if you took into account that God gave you a beautiful mind to do what ever your heart desires. I hope you saw that you’re are loving, compassionate and gracious towards others, as God shows His grace and love toward you. Somewhere in the filing cabinet of your thoughts you realized that you know how to have a good time and be corny with out apologizing for your energy, and that you are loved beyond measure! That was a lot, huh? It’s not even half of who you are and can be.
I hope this gets your wheels turning where as you will be confident enough in yourself and not let anyone or anything make you feel less than. If you’re still not convinced that these qualities can be inside of you, I suggest you take time to write in a journal and write your story. Pray about what may still linger in a negative sense and build on the positive. Remember you are wonderfully and uniquely made. Just be you!
My best to you and your journey!
