What A Treat!
I look at October as the start of the sugar rush season. You have all the candy for the lil’ treaters and goodies for the Halloween parties. Once that is over, Thanksgiving and Christmas come and it’s more goodies. I must say I love the season and ,yes, I indulge in the exhilarating taste of, I probably shouldn’t eat that, but I am! I’m human and that’s my excuse. Ha! Ha!
We have a lot of things in life we can indulge in and right now for me is having our grand baby at home. I get to see him each morning and night— cuddling, feedings, bathing and play time. He is almost two months old and he is such a little man with his burps, grunts and very messy diapers. I love to watch his face light up when I whistle at him and when he starts to jabber when he’s excited. He loves to be outside and I feel that is our thing together. He and I will rock in the chair, singing, talking, enjoying the birds and nature sounds. I really want him to want to be outside as he gets older and explore. We already bought him a bud collecting set before he was born, okay, and a big wheel and a toddler Jeep! Over the top? Never.
I’m looking forward to the holidays and the many joys of having a little one be in the center of it all. I know his mom can’t wait to dress him up for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. He may not understand but watching him take it all in is the real goodie here. We get the blessed honor at this time in our lives to be grandparents and I’m loving every second. What a treat to be Nana and Poppi! He is truly our little pumpkin.
