Finding Your Life Path

Do you already feel like you miss a hidden connection in your life? Perhaps you are not where you want to be or lost in the mundane groundhog days that life can, unfortunately, turn into. We all have experienced the desire to have more and to find personal value. It can be found, but you won’t find it by playing safe in your comfort zone or living in fear of taking chances. Do you know where it is? It’s you. All your gifts and talents have been bestowed upon you the moment you were created. The road of purpose was already forseen. Now you just need to tap into it.
When I was a child, my mother taught me a great deal about the potential we all have and the talents God gave us. I used to roll my eyes because when you’re young, your parents telling you these words of wisdom sounds so silly. She said of me at a very young age that I had talent for writing, listening to others, a special way with babies and wise beyond my years. Silly, right? I didn’t see it the way she did. I just loved to write, I empathized for people, and I absolutely loved babies. It was just who I was. My gifts were and are within my nature.
I know in saying all of this, one could feel that they got the short end of the stick. Maybe their parents didn’t praise or encourage them enough. They feel unworthy and ridiculous for desiring greatness. I know many families have not promoted their children’s personal growth, even as they become adults. But I also know countless people who have overcome those obstacles and succeeded very well. They knew deep down there was more to their future.
When we reflect back, we can see where our uniqueness made a difference. We didn’t realize it at the time, but God was leading us on our path. I encourage to list all the compliments you have received over the years not the cosmetic ones. I’m talking about the ones that tell about your character. Are you generous, compassionate, creative or charitable? You see where this is going? Then make a list of how you used these gifts and how it made you and other people feel. Next, truly meditate on how you can use them to create the life you want. There’s is nothing wrong about tooting your horn. It is what makes you, you. The value of your self worth is priceless.

My best to you and your journey!
